Sign in with your fingerprint
Sign back in to the app with a fingerprint or your face instead of typing your password.
What it is, and what it is not
Fingerprint sign-in is for after you have signed out, or been signed out: the sign-in screen offers your fingerprint or face, and that signs you in. No password, and no two-step code.
It is not App lock. App lock asks for a fingerprint each time the app opens while you are signed in. The two are separate switches, and you can use either, both or neither.
Turning it on
- Sign in to the app the usual way.
- Open your profile.
- Under Fingerprint sign-in, turn it on, and confirm with your fingerprint or face.
Using it
Signing out keeps it. The next time the sign-in screen opens on that phone, press the fingerprint button at the top and that is all.
It belongs to one phone and one account. Each phone or tablet you use has to be turned on by itself, and more than one person can have it on the same phone.
What turns it off
Turning it off under Fingerprint sign-in on your profile. Changing or resetting your password. Signing out of all phones, or removing that phone from your sessions, on the website or in the app. A company admin doing either of those for you. Uninstalling the app.
After any of these, that phone asks for your password once, and you can turn fingerprint sign-in on again.
Is it safe?
Your fingerprint and face never leave the phone; the phone checks them itself. What it unlocks is a long random key kept in the phone's protected storage, which only that phone has. Having the phone and passing its fingerprint check are the two factors, which is why no code is asked for.
