Signing in, passwords and two-factor

How accounts work, how to turn on two-factor, and what to do when you cannot get in.

Accounts and companies

Your account belongs to a company, and the company is identified by your email domain. Colleagues who sign up with an address at the same domain join the same company rather than starting a new one.

Two-factor authentication

1. Open Settings, then Security.
2. Press Set up two-factor and scan the code with any authenticator app.
3. Enter the six-digit code it shows to confirm.
4. Save the recovery codes somewhere that is not your phone. They are the way back in if the phone is lost.

If you cannot get in

Use the forgotten-password link on the sign-in page. If two-factor is on and you have lost the device, use a recovery code. If both are gone, an owner or admin on your company's account can reset your access from the Team page.
