Signing in with Google or Microsoft

One button instead of a password, for both signing in and opening an account.

What the buttons do

Sign in, if you already have an account here with that address. Open one, if you do not — there is no separate registration step and no verification email, because Google or Microsoft has already proved the address is yours.

Your password, if you have one, keeps working. Nothing is replaced.

It has to be a work address

The same rule as the sign-up form: a company account is opened with a company address, so a personal Gmail or Outlook account cannot create one however it arrives.

If your company already has an account here, the button will say so and point you at your administrator for an invitation rather than starting a second company on the same domain.

This is not the same as single sign-on

These buttons are ours, and they are on the page for everybody. Single sign-on is your company pointing its own identity provider at us: it appears only when you type an address whose domain has one configured, it puts your provider in charge of who exists, and it can be required so passwords stop working.

A company using Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 can have either, or both. They are different things doing different jobs.
