Lynkarr for Stream Deck
Your scans and form entries on Stream Deck keys and knobs, and a short link from whatever you copied.
What it does
Five actions you can put on any key. On a Stream Deck + or + XL, the first two also work on a knob and its strip of screen.
- Scan counter: one QR code's or short link's scans today, in the last 7 or 30 days, or all time. Set an Alert at number and the key flashes when the count passes it, then keeps a gold ring. A press refreshes, or copies the code's link if you choose that.
- Account total: every scan on your account, for the same periods.
- Form submissions: how many entries a form has had since you last pressed the key, with a red dot while there are any. A press marks them seen.
- Shorten clipboard: copy a long link, press the key, and a lykr.io short link is copied back in its place.
- Copy link: copies a QR code's, short link's or card's lykr.io address, to paste into a chat or a stream.
What you need
A Lynkarr account on the Starter plan or above, since the plugin uses the API, and the Stream Deck app 7.1 or later on Windows 10 or later, or macOS 12 or later. It works on any Stream Deck with screen keys.
Lynkarr for Stream Deck is waiting for review in the Elgato Marketplace. Once it is listed there, install it from the Marketplace.
Set it up
- In Lynkarr, open API tokens (https://lynkarr.com/app/api) and create a token named Stream Deck.
- Tick six permissions: Read QR codes, Read short links, Read analytics, Read digital cards, Read forms and submissions, and Manage short links. Manage short links is only for the Shorten clipboard key; leave it out if you won't use that key. Manage QR codes is not needed: the plugin can never change where a code points.
- Copy the token. It is shown once.
- In the Stream Deck app, drag a Lynkarr action onto a key, paste the token into API token, and pick what the key shows. The token is shared by every Lynkarr key, so you paste it once.
How often it updates, and your API allowance
The numbers refresh every 5 minutes by default; you can choose 2 or 15 in any Lynkarr key's settings, and the choice applies to them all. The plugin only asks while a Lynkarr key is on screen, and every key on the deck shares one request.
Those refreshes don't count against your plan's monthly API requests. A token can get 720 fresh answers a day, which is one every two minutes all day; past that, the keys keep their last numbers until the next day. Each short link the Shorten clipboard key makes counts as one API request, like any link made through the API.
Your token and your data
The token is kept in the Stream Deck app's settings on your computer and is sent only to lynkarr.com. The plugin reads numbers and makes short links; it can't change or delete your codes, links, cards or forms.
The numbers it shows are counts. Like all Lynkarr analytics, they say how many, never who.
To stop it, revoke the token in API tokens. The keys stop updating within two minutes (an answer is kept for two minutes so a deck asking again doesn't cost a fresh one).
